German Patent 377076

Granted in 1923 to one Hermann Gonschorowski of Zoppot (or Sopot, formerly in Prussia, now a part of Poland), this patent covers yet another combination of harmonica with a box zither. The novel feature of this one is that the harmonica is set in a hinged piece of wood which also functions as a lid to protect the strings when not in use.

As a harmonica player, I can't help but wonder why there isn't something to protect the harmonica part when not in use.
