Described as a "mechanical trumpet", this 1892 patent awarded to the firm of Ullmann and Engelmann of Bayern, Germany features a mouth blown instrument with a circular reedplate:

The reeds are arranged in such a fashion that revolving the reedplate whilst blowing causes a simple tune to be played.
